This is the perfect opportunity for craft beer enthusiasts looking to get a start in the beer industry. This is an entry level position which requires the employee to start learning the various functions of the canning operation. This position requires someone dependable and hardworking to assist on canning runs. The position offers hands-on training and tremendous growth potential to move through the various technician stages.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Transport beer in a box truck to and/or from two brewery locations in Auburn, NY
Assist in packaging beer - canning, pallet building, kegging
Cleaning kegs, brewery areas floors, & equipment
Chemical Mixing and Sanitation Procedures
Setting up and troubleshooting equipment such as labeler and date coder
Consistent quality checks
Keeping the equipment clean and up to PCB standards
Full understanding of company safety policies and rules
Collaborating with the other brewery staff
Safely and efficiently operate heavy packaging machinery

You’ll need to pull 150-lb. pallets of cans, push a pallet jack, learn to drive a forklift, stay on your feet for 8-hour days (with breaks) and perform other physical tasks as required.
Flexible Schedule: typical schedule is Mon-Fri 8a-4p, with additional times as needed for longer canning runs.
Hardworking: Pride in your work, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are all essential.
Quick Learner: There is a lot to learn as our procedures and processes are always improving.
Beer Knowledge: Home brewing or brewery experience is a big plus, as is a general appreciation for great craft beer.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of packing machine operator experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions at job sites including loud noise, high and low temperatures, and small working areas. Physical demands:
Ability to continuously stand or walk
Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to push/pull up to 800 pounds on wheels
Ability to perform repetitive motion functions in support of canning line operations
Compensation:
$18 per hour
10-day PTO - available at 6 months & accrues weekly
